Jane Austen Ball

The girls and I decided to go to the Jane Austen Ball in mid September.  We went to dancing lessons for 6 weeks prior to learn the dances, which were quite different to the dances I'd learned as a teenager.  It was great fun, but as the SMMC annual concert was the day after the Ball we decided not to go, too much on for one weekend.  However I was talked into going so we sewed furiously for 2 weeks and came up with some dresses, which looked lovely.  It was a very enjoyable evening, even though we had to leave early (9:45, but it only began at 8pm)
